North Miami Mayor Dr. Alix Desulme, Ed.D., is proud to announce a special street renaming ceremony in honor of Dr. Gilbert Leung, a beloved and respected figure in the community. The ceremony will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
During the ceremony, Mayor Desulme will redesignate NE 126th Street and between NE 8th Avenue and NE 9th Avenue, in Dr. Leung’s name, to recognize his ongoing commitment to the community.
Dr. Leung has dedicated himself as a primary care physician in the City of North Miami since July 1983. He now leads three medical centers, a dental center, and an urgent care center. Dr. Leung has served as the City of North Miami Physician for 40 years and his longstanding commitment to the City of North Miami and the community continues.
This street renaming is a testament to his legacy of dedication, service, and leadership.
