Join Us for the 8th Annual Evening of Honors: Celebrating South Florida's Brightest Leaders During Black History Month

The City of North Miami invites the public to join us in honoring nine individuals who have made significant community contributions during the 8th Annual Evening of Honors, on Friday, Feb. 23rd.
Hosted during Black History Month, Evening of Honors recognizes South Florida's brightest business and community leaders who have made a positive impact locally and beyond. In 2024, we are proud to recognize the following honorees Commissioner Kionne McGhee, Dr. Marie Etienne, Alfonso Brooks, Sophia Lacroix, Marc A. Brilliant, Juwan Strader, Willard Shepard, Terry Wright and Latasha Knowles.
This year's event promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with recognition, inspiration and celebration. It will also include great food, music and dancing. Evening of Honors is a time honored tradition in our City, highlighting the achievements and contributions of individuals who exemplify excellence, leadership and service. As we commemorate Black History Month, we pay tribute to those who have paved the way for progress and inspired future generations at this annual event.
Evening of Honors takes place Friday, Feb. 23rd, at 7 p.m., at the Joe Celestin Center, located at 1525 NW 135 Street, North Miami, FL 33167. This is a free event. Space is limited. All guests must RSVP in advance.
