Utility Billing

The City of North Miami Finance Department oversees the billing for city utilities. Although commonly referred to as the "water bill", your utility bill includes charges for water, sewer, storm water, and/or sanitation.

North Miami utility bill payments can be made online, by mail, in person or via credit card.

Notice for North Miami Utility Customers

On October 1, 2025, the City of North Miami will increase water and sewer rates for Fiscal Year 2025-2026. The rates will increase by 8.40% for water and 8.60% for sewer. The increases are in accordance with the recommendations of a Water and Sewer Rate Design Report issued in August 2021 by Black & Veatch, a consulting firm engaged by the City of North Miami. The report provided for increases in the water and sewer rates for fiscal years 2022 through 2026. The North Miami Mayor and Council adopted the full report as Ordinance 1473 during the Regular City Council Meeting held on October 26, 2021. Further, the rate increases for Fiscal Year 2026 were discussed at FY26 Budget Hearings on September 11, 2025, and September 25, 2025. The City of North Miami Water and Sewer Utility’s Consumptive Water Use Permit (13-00059-W) requires the use of a consumption-based rate structure as one of the conditions of issuance.
