Emergency Paint Program

Emergency Paint Program

The intent of the Paint Program is to beautify and satisfy potential or existing code violations of owner-occupied homes within the City of North Miami.  Homeowners are considered eligible if their total household income does not exceed 80% of the area median income. Funding for the program is provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).  This is a one-time emergency paint assistance grant of up to $6,000 for single family owner-occupied households and requires no repayment.

The scope of this program is limited to the unit’s exterior.  An eligible participant will select their paint colors,  which will be approved by the City of North Miami Building Department. Approval of colors must be in compliance with the City’s color chart.
