The City of North Miami maintains the sidewalks in order to facilitate safe pedestrian traffic. Have you seen a sidewalk that is broken into multiple pieces or has become un-level due to tree roots, equipment or other issue? The City addresses sidewalk issues that interrupt pedestrian flow, may cause unsafe conditions, or greatly disturb the city's aesthetics.
Residents are encouraged to report damaged sidewalks by email or by calling 305-895-9870.
To help ensure timely repair, please provide the following information:
- Approximate address of the damaged sidewalk
- Photo of the damaged sidewalk (if available)
If repair is deemed necessary, within two weeks, the city will temporarily "safe up" the sidewalk until further action can be scheduled. After that, a long-term plan will be put in place to address the replacement.
