City of North Miami Urges Support for Communities Impacted by Hurricane Melissa, with Special Prayers for Jamaica, Haiti, and Other Caribbean Nations
NORTH MIAMI, FL (November 5, 2025)
The City of North Miami extends heartfelt prayers and solidarity to the people of Jamaica, who have suffered the most devastating impacts from Hurricane Melissa, as well as to Haiti and other Caribbean nations also affected by the storm.
“We are a compassionate city. We rally together, we show up, and we give,” said North Miami Mayor Alix Desulme, Ed.D. “Today, we ask our community to keep Jamaica in your prayers first, and to support our neighbors across the region with generosity and care.”
