City of North Miami Vice Mayor Kassandra Timothe, MPA and North Miami CRA Announce the 4th Annual Teach to Fish Business Summit

The City of North Miami Vice Mayor Kassandra Timothe, MPA, in partnership with North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency, proudly announce the return of the Teach to Fish North Miami Business Summit, taking place October 12–14, 2025 at the Kovens Conference Center, FIU Biscayne Bay Campus.
Now in its fourth year, the Teach to Fish Business Summit has grown into a flagship event dedicated to empowering local entrepreneurs with the knowledge, resources, and connections they need to thrive. Designed as more than a conference, this three-day summit represents a movement to build sustainable business growth and economic resilience across North Miami.
Summit Highlights:
- Day 1: Business & Bubbles Reception – A high-energy kickoff featuring networking with investors, community leaders, and peers.
- Day 2: Workshops & Sessions – Hands-on, no-fluff strategies from top business experts, covering revenue growth, marketing, and operational excellence.
- Day 3: Motion & Mastery Luncheon + Pitch Competition – A keynote fireside chat on leadership and innovation, followed by the first-ever Teach to Fish Pitch Competition, where entrepreneurs will compete live for a $5,000 Teach to Fish Business Grant.
This year’s Summit builds upon new initiatives such as the Teach to Fish Business Grant Program, launched in partnership with the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). Twenty $5,000 grants will be awarded to eligible local businesses within CRA boundaries, providing direct investment to strengthen North Miami’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
