Who:
- Any business that operates out of a physical location (Brick and Mortar) within the City of North Miami
- All Online (E-Commerce) businesses with registered addresses within the City of North Miami
- All home-based businesses within the City of North Miami
- Independent contractors who provide goods or services to North Miami residents or businesses within the City of North Miami
- Any business interested in becoming a vendor to provide goods, services, or seek government contract opportunities with the City of North Miami.
Any business that operates from a physical location, solely online(e-commerce) with a registered address or from home, you are required to obtain both a Certificate of Use, Business Tax Receipt and any required licensing to ensure compliance.
Independent Contractors Independent contractors who provide services to residents and businesses that operate from a registered business within the City of North Miami are required to have a local Business Tax Receipt with both the City of North Miami and Miami-Dade County.

Be familiar with how visitors and residents get around in North Miami. Let your customers know how they can leverage the city’s transportation system to get to and from your business at no cost. This should help to drive more traffic to your business.
The Downtown Action Plan Advisory Committee ("DAPAC") was created to "assist in the implementation of the adopted major corridor and downtown master plan as well as the accompanying concept and action plans" as indicated in Section 2-401 of the City of North Miami Land Development Regulations.
