North Miami’s 50th Annual WinterNational Thanksgiving Day Parade Kicks Off the City’s Centennial Celebration with Hip Hop Artists Rick Ross and Trina
NORTH MIAMI, FL (November 21, 2025)
The City of North Miami is proud to announce the 50th Annual WinterNational Thanksgiving Day Parade, a “Golden Jubilee,’ marking 50 years of milestones memories. Chart-topping performing artists, Trina and Rick Ross will serve as this year’s grand marshals. This historic event, which celebrates our past and paves the way for the future as North Miami prepares to turn 100.
Trina is a multi-platinum rapper and Miami icon known for her influential role in Southern hip-hop and her long-standing impact on music and culture. Rick Ross is a Grammy-nominated rapper, entrepreneur, and founder of Maybach Music Group, recognized worldwide for his contributions to music and business.
The parade promises to be a celebration of our community spirit, with family-friendly fun and spectacular entertainment. The lively procession will feature dazzling floats, Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorative police cars, and community groups parading along NE 125th Street, from NE 6th to NE 10th avenues.
This year’s Golden Jubilee Parade will also include special activations for attendees to enjoy throughout the morning. Guests can stop by MOCA Plaza for complimentary hot chocolate, arts and crafts, and a photo opportunity with North Miami’s official parade mascot, Ice E. Snowden. Commemorative parade t-shirts and limited-edition Centennial coins will also be available for purchase, while supplies last.
To ensure a safe and smooth event, the North Miami Police Department will close and redirect traffic from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. on parade day. NE 125th Street will be closed at NE 2nd Avenue, with traffic redirected north and south along NE 2nd Avenue. Hard closures will be in effect on both the north and south sides of NE 125th Street, from Griffing Boulevard to NE 12th Avenue.
A press conference will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the Griffing Community Center, 12220 Griffing Blvd., North Miami, FL 33161, to share important information regarding the parade.
