I’m pleased to share that I, as Mayor, led the unanimous approval of the 2024 to 2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and the South Florida Police Benevolent Association.
This agreement reflects my deep respect for the officers who serve our City with courage and professionalism. It reaffirms our ongoing commitment to public safety and our confidence in the effectiveness of strong community policing. Our officers play a critical role in keeping North Miami safe, and this contract ensures they have the support, resources, and recognition they deserve.
I am proud that this contract not only provides fair and competitive compensation but also reinforces our shared commitment to building trust and collaboration between law enforcement and the community. That’s how we move forward together, by creating safer neighborhoods through teamwork, transparency, and mutual respect.
I would like to thank the South Florida PBA for their partnership, the City Council for their unanimous support, and our Interim City Manager for helping to bring this agreement to a successful conclusion. This is a proud moment for our City and one that underscores our commitment to public service and unity.
Mayor Alix Desulme, Ed.D.
