“We are pleased with the District 4 appointment of Pierre Frantz Charles,” North Miami Mayor Desulme said. “It was an overwhelming show of talent among the interested candidates, and most of them could have served as our next councilperson, but I welcome our new Councilman Pierre Frantz Charles to represent D4.”
Since 2009, Pierre Frantz Charles has served as a math teacher at Miami Central Senior High School and has taught at Miami-Dade College, Wolfson Campus, as an adjunct professor since 2014. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education as well as an associate arts degree. “My involvement in the North Miami community has given me valuable experience and an understanding of the city’s needs and challenges, especially in District 4,” Pierre Frantz Charles wrote in his statement of candidacy. “Together, we must work to make North Miami neighborhoods safer, healthier, and more prosperous by focusing on improving our schools, parks, providing jobs and job training opportunities, and increasing after-school activities and developing preventive programs for our at-risk youth.”
