As your District 4 Councilman, I am honored to serve our vibrant North Miami community with dedication, integrity, and a commitment to progress. My goal is to ensure that every resident has a voice in shaping the future of our district.
I am focused on expanding economic opportunities, increasing access to affordable housing, strengthening public safety, and fostering educational partnerships. Through collaboration and transparency, I will work to keep you informed and engaged in the decisions that impact our community.
North Miami is growing, and I want to ensure that this growth benefits everyone—our seniors, veterans, families, and young people. Together, we can build a more inclusive, safe, and thriving community.

District 4, North Miami
Councilman Pierre Frantz Charles was elected in December 2024 to continue serving as the district 4 representative on the North Miami City Council. A dedicated educator, community leader, and advocate for progress, he remains committed to improving economic opportunities, expanding affordable housing, and enhancing public safety in District 4.
Born and raised in Arcahaie, Haiti, Councilman Charles immigrated to the United States in 1995 in pursuit of education and opportunity. He earned two associate degrees and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Miami Dade College, followed by a master’s degree in mathematics education from Nova Southeastern University. With over 16 years of experience as a mathematics teacher at Miami-Dade County Public Schools and an adjunct professor of mathematics at Miami Dade College since 2014, he is passionate about education and workforce development.
Beyond his role in public service, Councilman Charles is the former CEO and co-founder of One Stop Math Tutoring, LLC and former administrator and co-founder of the Veronique Destine Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to providing educational resources in his hometown of Arcahaie, Haiti. He has been an active leader in various community organizations, including serving as President of the Association of Haitian Educators of Dade (AHED) and as a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
As Councilman, he prioritizes economic growth, affordable housing, job training, and community engagement. His vision is to make district 4 a place where all residents—regardless of background—can thrive. He is also a proud father and an active member of Notre Dame D’Haiti Catholic Church, where he is an active member Notre Dame of Perpetual Help Choir and the Administrator of Chorale de L’Eglise.
With a deep-rooted commitment to public service, Councilman Charles continues to work tirelessly to uplift District 4 and create a more inclusive and prosperous District 4.
