The Missing Persons Tracking and Recovery Program consists of a means for the North Miami Police Department to electronically track (with consent) persons with forms of dementia, or developmental disabilities, who have registered with the Department and are later discovered to be and are reported missing.
Our agency has partnered with AngelSense to implement this program. The Angelsense device is an AI-powered monitoring & Alerting engine that’s designed to enhance the safety of individuals at risk of wandering. The device is worn by the individual and continuously tracks (with consent) their location. If the person wanders or goes missing, real-time alerts are sent to caregivers and emergency responders, enabling them to efficiently locate and protect vulnerable individuals.
