When should I place my containers at the curb?

Place your trash or recycling container at the curb 24-hours before your scheduled day of pick-up. Remove your trash or recycling container from the curb once it has been serviced. Containers left curbside more than 24-hours after scheduled service are subject to citation by the Code Compliance Department.

Never rely on previous collection times to place containers at the curb. Routes are not always serviced by the same driver or in the same order.

Sec. 9-15. - Location of dumpsters, garbage containers, and garbage cans.
