1. What constitutes a false alarm?

The North Miami Alarm Ordinance defines a false alarm as: “The activation of an alarm system through mechanical or
electronic failure, malfunction, improper installation, or the negligence of the alarm user, his/her employees or agents, and
signals activated to summon law enforcement personnel unless law enforcement response was canceled by the alarm
company before law enforcement personnel arrive at the alarm location.”

2. Who is required to register their alarm?

Everyone operating an alarm system inside the City limits is required to register their alarm systems.

3. How do I register my alarm system?

You may also contact the North Miami False Alarm Program at 877-665-2987, Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

You may also pay the registration fee online at this website using your account number and password. Payment may also be made out to the North Miami False Alarm Reduction Program and mailed to:
