Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime and City Clerk Vanessa Joseph, Esq. Collaborate to Launch “The Mayor’s Citizenship Corner” at the North Miami Public Library

North Miami Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime in collaboration with City Clerk Vanessa Joseph, Esq., will launch “The Mayor’s Citizenship Corner.” The launch event will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the North Miami Public Library (located at 835 NE 132nd St, North Miami, FL 33161).
The Mayor’s Citizenship Corner is a new area within the North Miami Public Library that will provide resources to empower and support immigrants who are eligible for naturalization. The goal is to help North Miami residents become civically, economically, and socially engaged by becoming U.S. citizens. This citywide initiative is meant to raise awareness about the importance of citizenship.
This new dedicated space at the Library will connect aspiring citizens with:
- Information and interactive tools on the citizenship application process
- Online resources and forms on site
- English and Civics Test study materials
- Answers to frequently asked questions
- Information on free or low-cost service providers
