The City of North Miami welcomes all members of the public to attend City Council meetings.  

There are two ways you can participate:

You may view City Council Meetings on-line.


Interested members of the public are invited to provide oral or written comments on the matters that are presented before the City Council. Comments, which must include your full name and address, may be provided in advance of the hearing via telephone at 305-895- 9803, or by sending an email to publiccomment@northmiamifl.gov. 

Comments must be received by 10 AM the day of the Council Meeting in order to be read into the record during the hearing. Comments received after the deadline will become part of the record, but will not be read during the hearing.

In-Person Participation

What to expect when you attend a City Council Meeting in-person:

The City of North Miami has implemented administrative rules concerning how the public will access City Hall and other North Miami owned and operated facilities. The rules are enforced by the City Administration and are designed to protect the health and safety of all who enter our City-owned facilities.

  • All who enter City Hall wishing to attend a public meeting or to speak on an item at a public meeting must practice social distancing when inside the building.  
  • A facial covering or mask is required to enter North Miami City Hall and any other City of North Miami facility.
  • During a City Council meeting, the occupancy of the public viewing gallery in chambers will be limited to 24 people in a socially distanced seating arrangement.
  • Once chambers reaches capacity, additional attendees and presenters will be required to use the City Council Chambers lobby area. Under our administrative rules, the capacity of the lobby area will be limited to 14 people. 
  • Once the lobby overflow area reaches capacity, all remaining attendees and presenters who wish to attend the meeting or speak at the meeting will be seated in a covered outdoor courtyard area on the west side of City Hall (this area will be limited to 10 people).
