Business Grants

  • Legacy Business Grant Application

    Each Legacy business is allowed up to a $20,000 grant award. The goal is to assist at least 10 small businesses that have been located in the City of North Miami for at least 15 years by providing short-term working capital assistance to enable retention of jobs held by low- and moderate-income persons.

  • NoMi Delivers Grant

    Each business is allowed up to a $10,000 grant award. This grant provides assistance to offset the cost of courier delivery service with Uber Eats, Door Dash, and other similar services. These delivery services will allow the businesses to increase revenue on takeout sales.

  • Regular Business Stabilization Grant

    Each business is allowed up to a $5,000 grant award. The goal is to assist North Miami Businesses by providing short-term working capital assistance, which will cover inventory, supplies and/or services (e.g. daily cleaning, sanitizing, delivery, etc.) needed to reduce the adverse economic impact caused by COVID-19.

  • Smart Biz Micro Grant

    Each business is allowed up to a $10,000 grant award. The goal for this program is to help small businesses expand their market reach by investing in greater hardware and software applications that will allow them to offer their goods and services to an e-commerce online customer base.

  • Workforce Training, Contact Tracing/Medical Certification & Placement Grant

    This grant will provide low- to moderate-income students who are North Miami residents with a stipend of up to $500 to cover the cost of certification in the specialized areas of infectious disease, health and information technology.

  • Emergency Tenant-Based Assistance Program

    The City of North Miami is offering rent assistance in the form of a grant with no repayment requirement for 2 months, up to $3,000 to all North Miami residents experiencing hardship and loss of income due to COVID-19.

  • NoMi Food Pantry

    Now operated by the City of North Miami, the NoMi Food Pantry provides fruits and vegetables, protein, dairy and shelf-stable items in addition to health and beauty items such as diapers and personal hygiene items.

  • Water Utility Bill Assistance

    The City of North Miami’s Utility Billing Division is offering relief to residents in regards to the water component of their utility bill. The Mayor and City Council has authorized the appropriation of $250,000 to the North Miami Low Income Home Utility Bills Assistance Foundation, Inc. in order to help low-income or Coronavirus/COVID-19 affected resident customers to pay their City water bills.
