The Friends of the North Miami Public Library group was incorporated under the laws of Florida as a not-for-profit organization in 1983. The founders and members are everyday users of the Library, your neighbors. The Friends play an important advocacy role, especially as regards funding issues. Friends advocate for the North Miami Public Library patrons, staff, volunteers, and citizens by raising funds to purchase reading materials, equipment, supplies, refreshments, field trips, professional services, and free to the public programs that enhance intergenerational literacy. This 30 year old organization has a 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service. Donations are tax deductible and an official letter of receipt will be sent to each donor. Send donations to Sharon Sbrissa, Treasurer, Friends of the North Miami Public Library, 835 NE 132 Street North Miami, FL 33161

Accepting donations for the On-Going Book Sale
The Friends of the North Miami Public Library are now accepting donations for the On-Going Book Sale located in the lobby of the North Miami Public Library! All proceeds from the sale of these books will provide programming support for children, youth, and the community. Please bring your books in a closed box to the main entrance of the Library. Donations are accepted every Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
We urge you to ask the Library staff or a Friends member about how you can become a Friend of the Library and lend your energies to help further improve your community Library.
