Rose Michelle Grand-Pierre Appointed by Vice Mayor Estimé-Irvin Rose Michelle Grand-Pierre is a public servant with a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and bachelor degrees in Human Resource Management and Management from Florida International University. She has been an Honorary Doctorate of Human Letters’ nominee by God Oved Dei Seminary and University (GODSU). 

She has been working for Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department for 15 years (2007-2022). In her current position, as personnel liaison and outreach specialist, she serves as the liaison between the Marketing and Development Division and Human Resource Division. 

As an outreach specialist, she shares the power of parks with the general public. She is instrumental in shaping the mindset of her community, regarding the health benefits of parks. As an example, she lives a daily, park life either socially, economically, or by actively participating in her community’s activities in schools, churches, parks and Chambers of Commerce. Her focus is to engage everyone she meets and make a difference through education and awareness for sustainability. 

Mrs. Grand-Pierre is the immediate past president of Miami-Dade Toastmasters Club 8251 and a radio show host at Radio Transfiguration (Ora Et Labora). She serves on several boards and organizations. 

Prior to joining Miami-Dade County Parks, Mrs. Grand-Pierre was a Financial Specialist at the US Embassy and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Haiti for 17 years. At a young age, she was a speaker for a Haitian radio station, Radio Diffusion Cayenne. Her skills were put into practice in every diverse community she has had a chance to embrace. As such, she was the recipient of many awards not only from the US Embassy and USAID, but also from the City of North Miami, including the Women Who Inspire Award in 2017, Community Champion Award in 2018, the Parks and Recreation In Delivering Excellence (P.R.I.D.E) Emerging Leader in 2019, and the Proclamation of Rose Michelle Day in 2020. 

Mrs. Grand-Pierre is married to Pierre Grand-Pierre and mother of two daughters, Jennie Grand-Pierre Johnston and Nathaëlle Grand-Pierre Charles.
