Kevin Seifried was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1951. His family moved to Metropolitan Dade County in 1952. Mr. Seifried attended St. James Catholic Elementary School in North Miami, graduating in 1965. He went on to Monsignor Edward Pace Catholic High School in Opa-locka, graduating in 1969, followed by two years at Miami-Dade Community College, receiving an associate of arts degree in education. 

Kevin began his government service with the Dade County School Board in 1975, and in 1976 he began working for the State Attorney's Office, Juvenile Division. A year later, Mr. Seifried was hired by the Clerk of Courts where he served 15 months in the Civil Division, and then transferred to the Juvenile and Family Court Division. In 1980, Kevin returned to Civil Court. In 2020, after 44 years, Kevin retired from the Clerk of Courts. In the spring of 2021 Kevin established NOMI'S ANGELS, tasked with benefitting the Domestic Violence Unit of the North Miami Police Department and the City of North Miami Angel Tree. 

Kevin has been involved in various aspects of community service, commencing with the Knights of Columbus in the l 970s, which is program he directed for 23 years. Under the Knights of Columbus, he coordinated the official Memorial Day Tribute Exhibit and Program at the Historic Dade County Courthouse. In 2010, Mr. Seifried became the planning commissioner, and was elected by his peer commissioners as chairperson in 2020. Kevin has served as president of the Westside Homeowners Association, a member of the North Miami Community Emergency Response Team, a member of the North Miami Advisory Board, and as a member of the North Miami Police Department's Block Grant Advisory Board. Kevin is currently serving on the Boards of Directors of John Paul Charitable Foundation and Marian Charitable Foundation, both 50l (c)(3) and the Board of the Gay Vista Social Club, a 50 I (c)(8).
