Works - Mark E. Collins
 I
started working for the City of North Miami 27 years ago as a General
Maintenance Worker in the Parks and Recreation Department. Over the
years I have worked my way up the ladder and changed departments from
the Parks Department to the Public Works Department after seven (7)
years. I have held almost every position available as I advanced until
I became the Director of the Public Works Department approximately
six (6) years ago. I am a graduate from North Miami Senior High School
and have an Associate in Arts degree from Miami Dade Community College
and numerous certificates from Florida International University in
the area of Management. As the Public Works Director I am responsible
for the administration of all public services, including water treatment,
water distribution, sanitary sewer collection and transmission, street
maintenance, stormwater utility, all sanitation services, animal control,
facility management and fleet services. I enjoy working in an environment
that allows me the opportunity to help people and be a small part
of making North Miami a better place to live and raise a family.
