Public
Works - Hoyt Jackson
My
name is Hoyt Jackson and I was born and raised in The City of North
Miami. With my thirty (30) years of experience in the construction
field and my personal attachment to this City, I felt right at home
when I was hired to work for the Public Works Department as a Trades
Mechanic in 1994.
Currently, I am the Facility Maintenance Supervisor and I oversee
a crew of five (5) employees that provide maintenance and custodial
services to most of the City facilities including City Hall, the Building
& Zoning Annex, the Code Enforcement Trailer, the City Motor Pool
and the Utility Operations Center. I also provide technical advice
and support for the Police Station and Museum of Contemporary Art.
It is my responsibility to coordinate requests for proposals, get
price quotes for goods and services provided to the City through outside
sources and oversee the private contractors hired to complete certain
tasks or projects.
