Welcome to the Public Works Department, the "Back Bone" of the City. Our department is responsible for many services including:
producing and delivering a safe water supply to your home or business, providing a system to remove the sewage from your homes and businesses, removal of garbage, trash and recycling from curbside, Animal Control services and assure that the City owned roads are maintained properly and provide drainage of stormwater after storm events. The department also maintains all of the City owned vehicles and equipment used to serve the public as well as keep the City owned facilities clean and safe.
As you look through our web site you will be introduced to the different
divisions and utilities within the Public Works Department. I believe
that you will find this information helpful and informative. Should you have any
questions you will be able to direct those questions to the person
responsible.
The Public Works department staff stands ready to serve our City's residents and we take great pride in our work. As always, I am available

Public Works services include:
- garbage pickup twice a week
- bulk-trash pickup once a week (limit of 6 cubic yards per pick up)
- recycling once a week
- animal control services
- water and sanitary sewer services
- backflow inspections
- secure line backups
- canal inspections
- street sweeping
- sidewalk and street maintenance and repairs
