Get in Gear Community Bike Ride

Saturday, February 11 

Registration: 8:30 a.m. Ride will depart at 9 a.m. sharp!
Start: MOCA Plaza, 770 NE 125 Street, North Miami

The community bike ride now returns to Saturday mornings through Spring 2012.  Commit yourself to a healthier lifestyle by participating in this 10 mile ride through North Miami.  The ride is safe (where else do you get a police escort?), it’s easy (stops are made during the ride for water and restroom breaks) and it’s fun (bring your friends!).

The Get in Gear Community Bike Ride is an ACHIEVE wellness initiative, in partnership with the North Miami Parks and Recreation Department and the North Miami Police Department.  Our mission is to encourage a healthier lifestyle through exercise and more nutritional diets. 

Bring your own bike.  Helmets are required for all participants ages 16 and under and encouraged for all participants.

The North Miami Community Concert Band is a group of 40-60 professional and amateur musicians, who have played for 45 years. Music ranges from classical music, to Broadway Tune, and marches. The audiences are pleased to hear talented guest singers and young, up and coming musicians. Don't miss this Season! There will be something to entertain everyone.

On February 19 the concert will celebrate (ROMANCE) - Valentine's Day and Solos by 3 Band members.

Join the North Miami Feeder Pattern schools to celebrate reading during the ongoing family night series at the North Miami Public Library.  The Media Specialists from both schools will read their favorite books to the children.  Parents can sign their children and families up for a library card and refreshments will be served.
