Sew n' Swes Quilters Based in North Miami Make Annual Donation of Their Handiwork

The Sew ‘n Sew Quilters and Crafters are a talented group of individuals who meet weekly at North Miami’s Griffing Center to work on their quilted masterpieces.  Each year, the group donates a large portion of their completed works, including lap quilts for seniors, baby blankets, crocheted hats for infants and crocheted/knitted dolls, to groups such as the North Miami Foundation for Senior Citizens and the Lotus House.

This year, the donations will be presented tomorrow, (Wednesday, December 12 at 11 a.m. at Griffing Center, 12220 Griffing Boulevard in North Miami.  Representatives from each of the groups will be present to accept the donations.  In addition to the Sew ‘n Sew’s, the City’s crochet class students will donate an afghan and baby hats created during their classes throughout the year.

For more information on the Sew ‘n Sews group or to inquire on classes offered at the Griffing Center, please contact Meri Cena at 305-893-3771.
