North Miami, FL – 11/27/2019
The City of North Miami will proudly present its 45th
Annual Winternational Thanksgiving Day Parade, themed, “Making Our Diversity
Count,” at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 28.
Emmy Award
Winning Television News Journalist, Calvin Hughes, of Local 10, is this year’s
Grand Marshal. Mainstage hosts include local radio personality, Supa Cindy of
99 Jamz and NBC 6 Reporter, Andrea Martinez. DJ Hercules and DJ Lumoney will
also be present to keep the crowds entertained at two additional parade stops.
The
Winternational Thanksgiving Day Parade is a beloved North Miami holiday
tradition spanning more than four decades. It is South Florida’s only
Thanksgiving Day parade. Guests will enjoy a free, fun-filled morning of
spectacular bands, cultural and folkloric performances, entertaining dance
groups, colorful floats, live music and family-friendly fun for all ages. Also,
back by popular demand is the NoMi Nights float, featuring a live rolling
concert performance by popular Haitian Kompa band, Kreyol La!
“The
Winternational Thanksgiving Day Parade is always an exciting and unique
experience -- found exclusively in North Miami,” said Philippe Bien-Aime, Mayor
of North Miami. “This year’s theme focuses on celebrating the diversity of our
community as we gear up for the 2020 Census. This is an experience you don’t
want to miss.”
