The North Miami Public Library’s 2019 Summer Reading Program is an opportunity for local youth to blast-off to “A Universe of Stories,” for out-of-this-world learning and exploring!

This year’s Summer Reading Program runs from Friday, June 7th – Saturday, Aug. 3rd. Sponsored by the Friends of the North Miami Public Library, the program is designed to prevent summer learning loss among youth, through leisurely reading and diverse hands-on enrichment activities. Young readers, up to age 18, may register in-person at the NoMi Library. Parents, guardians and camp leaders can help by signing-up to read to pre-reading stage children. Library visits by participants are automatically logged during computer use and when books are checked-out.

Participants will be entered into drawings for gift cards, age-appropriate technology and book giveaways. The raffle drawings are scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd at 5:45 p.m., at the NoMi Library, located at 835 NE 132nd Street. Drawings will be aired on Facebook Live.

Program registration is available at the NoMi Library during regular business hours. For more information, call 305-891-5535, visit, or follow @NoMiLibrary on Instagram and Facebook.
