VICE MAYOR PHILIPPE BIEN-AIME AND THE ASSOCIATION OF HAITIAN EDUCATORS OF DADE CELEBRATE WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH AT ANNUAL RECEPTION


North Miami’s Vice Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime and the Association of Haitian Educators of Dade invite the public to join them at the 2019 Soriee en Rose: Women Who Inspire Reception, at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 21, in the MOCA Paradise Courtyard, 770 NE 125th Street, North Miami.  

This annual Women’s History Month Celebration is hosted in honor of local female trailblazers whose humanitarianism directly impacts the people of North Miami and throughout South Florida. The City of North Miami’s 2019 Women Who Inspire Honorees include: Dr. Emeline Alexis-Schulz, radio host and Haitian community advocate; Bianca “Stichiz” Casseus, 103.5 the beat radio personality, author and musical performer; Rose-Philippe Coriolan, film director; Debra Dubin, educator; Lamercie Francois Filius, Haitian community activist; The Honorable Lody Jean, Miami-Dade County Court Judge; Ann Sobelson, youth volunteer; Sophia Gedeon Sorel, author and entrepreneur; Venghan “Winnie” Tang, youth and human rights advocate; and Marie Jo Toussaint, Miami Dade-County State Attorney’s Office.    

The celebration will also include a live concert performance by Haitian Kompa Band, Klass. This is a free public event. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Persons interested in attending may RSVP online at 2019SoireeEnRose.eventbrite.com.
