The North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA) and the city of North Miami will celebrate the grand re-opening of the MOCA Plaza during a public Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m.

The 4-month renovation project came at a cost of approximately $850,000. The renovation included installation of new decorative brick pavers, light bollards, LED lighting, planting of oak trees and foxtail palms, irrigation and landscaping, as well as electrical upgrades throughout the plaza. The project was funded by the NMCRA and the Miami-Dade County Board of Commissioners.

Immediately following the Ribbon Cutting, the annual Light Up North Miami tree lighting ceremony will commence in the MOCA Plaza. This will be the first City of North Miami event in the plaza after its official grand re-opening.
