Friday, May 18 is Haitian Flag Day! Grab a Haitian flag, dress in red and blue, and make your way to the City of North Miami’s 2018 Haitian Flag Day Celebration. North Miami is home to the largest population of persons of Haitian descent in the US. The City’s 2018 Haitian Heritage Month Committee is eager to share the island’s eclectic culture with the entire community at this annual festival.     

North Miami’s Haitian Flag Day Celebration will be hosted by Success, Jr. and Plus Daddy of the popular South Florida-based comedy group, Haitian-American Productions (HAP).  The evening will include performances by the M.I.A. Dance Factory, live music by Guitars Over Guns, Kompa by Kzino and headliners Harmonik. Winners of the 2018 Haitian Heritage Month Student Essay Contest will be announced on the mainstage.  A variety of Haitian food venders will be on-site.
