North Miami Councilman Philippe Bien-Aime in partnership with Global 1,000 Miami and Urban Philanthropies Miami will host a Global Energy Opening Session on Friday, Feb. 9th at Johnson & Wales University Wildcat Center Ballroom. This free workshop will examine unique business relations and opportunities between the United States and other nations, while also exploring the role of cyber-technology in today’s industry. 

The session will include a panel led by Consul General of Canada Susan Harper, Consul General of the Republic of Haiti in Miami Gandy Thomas and Senior Executive Managing Partner & Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Davis 5 Star Holdings (D5SH), Inc. Derek Davis. The conversation will be led by Shirley Plantin, Director of the Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board and Sir Charles Hill, Managing Director of EcoTech Visions. 

Bien-Aime joined forces with City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert to promote the national entrepreneurial initiative in their respective communities. The Global 1,000 national movement was created by economist and financial advisor, Dr. Lance McCarthy, to dispel the growing concern of economic disparity in minority business development. 

There is no cost to attend the workshop which will include a continental breakfast and complimentary parking, available in the Arch Creek parking lot, located across the street from the Wildcat Center. Before 4 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018, interested guests may RSVP to Rosenny Augustine
