North Miami Councilwoman Carol Keys, Esq., invites residents to bring unwanted household electronics, paint cans and paper waste to the City’s Drive-Through/ Drop-Off Recycle Event on Saturday, Oct. 21. This event will run from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the North Miami Police Department. The goal is to provide North Miami residents and businesses with an opportunity to recycle electronic waste and to encourage sustainable conservation practices. Residents can bring paint cans for proper disposal and sensitive paper documents for safe professional bulk shredding. In 2017, 10,000 pounds of paper was shredded, more than 2,000 pounds of latex paint was properly disposed of and 475 gallons of household electronics were recycled at City of North Miami events.
