JOIN THE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI ON PEACE DAY

The
International Day of Peace (“Peace Day”) is observed worldwide every year on
September 21st. Join the city of North Miami on Peace Day for
inspirational messages of Peace, Love and Unity delivered by community leaders.
Established by the United Nations, Peace Day “provides a globally shared
date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to
contribute to building a Culture of Peace.” The event will take place on
Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in front of the North
Miami City Hall, located at 776 NE 125 ST. The program will include
remarks by North Miami Mayor, Dr. Smith Joseph, and Unity Messages from Pastor Joel Torres of Iglesia Nuevo
Comienzo, Rabbi Abraham Lipszyc of Chabad Lubavitch, Brother
Roland St. Gerard of Bethel Evangelical Church, and William
Vasquez of Obrero Para Cristo Ministries.
The
ceremony will conclude with the signing of the Peace
Pledge and musical selection by students from Holy Cross Lutheran School of
