Celebrate Black History Month in North Miami, Saturday February 20th, 5 – 10 p.m.  
Black History Month celebrations continue in the city of North Miami. The signature event, Music in the Plaza will feature live entertainment by award winning artists in an outdoor concert setting on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.  The festivities will be held in the MOCA Plaza located at 770 NE 125 ST in Downtown North Miami.

Partygoers will enjoy live performances throughout the night from local to international artists including the rich, soulful and warm mezzo soprano Rochelle Lightfoot along with Demetria McKinney known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the hit TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” and one of the newest cast member on Bravo TV’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7. The event will be hosted by Rick Party from South Florida's HOT 105 FM and will also include performances by CeCe Peniston who swept the radio airwaves with her first big hit, “Finally” and Chubb Rock, New York-based rapper known for his hit single “Treat 'Em Right.” American R&B group, Jagged Edge, signed through Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Records will headline the event. The group has had a number of hit singles that topped the charts including “Promise”, “Let’s Get Married” and “Where the Party At.” Admission to the event is free and food will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors.   

Black History Month will be celebrated in North Miami throughout the month of February.
