Beautiful Scenery and a Simple Permitting Process makes Filming In North Miami Ideal

North Miami has continuously been a popular place for location-shoot in the South Florida region and was known as the Film Capital of the South! Every year, dozens of film, video and photography projects take place in public spaces around the City. In the past well-known projects such as Burn Notice, Graceland, Nickelodeon television shows, Adidas and Gatorade commercials, just to name few, were filmed in our municipality. Currently filming is “Black Ink Crew” by Big Fish Entertainment out of New York, “the Bachelor Germany” by Warner Bros. International TV Production and “Talia’s Kitchen” by Cinemat, Inc.

Interested parties may visit, go to the Community Planning and Development Department and click on Filming in North Miami to access the film permit application, learn about previous productions, available Florida state tax incentives and the existing local film related businesses. Once the film application is submitted, it will only take about one week for the finalized permit to be issued. With our abundance of beautiful parks, artistic destinations, vibrant City locals and scenic coastline North Miami is a unique place to film your next production!
