Bring out the entire family for Dia de la Familia/ Family Day!

The North Miami Public Library, located at 835 NE 135 ST, celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by inviting everyone to join in on this fun-filled Family Day, un Dia de la Familia, on Saturday, October 10th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  There will be arts and crafts, magic shows, storytelling, prizes, art displays, and group tours of the newly renovated library!     

Performances will include: 

Merlina the Magical Storyteller:  As a bilingual Magical Storyteller, Merlina brings her stories to life by combining her magic and expressive personality as she takes the audience on a magical tour through time and space.  She is one of the nation's few Hispanic magicians and in combination with her storytelling prowess she will wow the audience in Spanish and English.     

Willard the Magician: El Mago Willard has over four decades of professional performances as a magician.  An icon of magic in Cuba, he has been granted a visa under a cultural exchange program. Willard will be delighting the audiences with a magical guest appearance and demonstration of his prestidigitation talents.    

Venezuela Danza y Tambor:   Enjoy the rhythms and dances of this professional group of young dancers for a powerful and unforgettable performance.
