The City of North Miami is proud to kick off its first Electronic Waste Recycling & Green Awareness event. The event will gather a host of local vendors to provide residents and businesses in the City the opportunity to recycle their electronic waste, while educating them on proper hazardous waste disposal and sustainable conservation practices. This event will take place on Saturday, June 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Griffing Park located on the corner of NE 123 Street & West Dixie Highway.  

Sponsors from Home Depot, Waste Pro, Whole Foods, North Miami Public Works, Power King, Keep North Miami Beautiful, PROSHRED, Electronic Recycling Center, Inc. and the North Miami Public Works Department will all be on site to provide e-waste recycling, education on proper hazardous waste disposal, free shredding of your sensitive documents, and more.

Items to Bring for Recycling:
  • Electronic Devices: TV’s, Cell Phones, Computers, Keyboards, Printers, Fax Machines (or anything with a plug)
  • Light Bulbs (Fluorescent, CFL, Incandescent, etc.)
  • Batteries ( Car, Boat, or Portable)
