MAYOR-ELECT DR. SMITH JOSEPH TO TAKE THE OATH OF OFFICE ON WEDNESDAY

North Miami, FL – 11/7/2014

Induction Ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. on November 12th

Mayor-elect Dr. Smith Joseph will be inducted into office at a Special City Council meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the MOCA Plaza, 770 NE 125 Street.   Mayor-elect Joseph won the mayor seat by Special Election via a run-off election held on November 4th.  

The ceremony will be conducted as an official meeting of the City Council, with some additions, such as: the presentation of colors by the North Miami Police Department Honor Guard; the Star Spangled Banner performed by Carnide Thermidore; an inter-faith induction conducted by Rabbi Jory Lang, of Beth Moshe Congregation, and Pastor Apolinaire Bayoro, of Full Gospel Tabernacle; and the benediction by Pastor Belizario Noel of Tabernacle of Christ Ministries.  Dr. Joseph’s wife, Patricia Saint Vil-Joseph, Esquire will administer the oath and his daughter, Benoushkah Dominque Joseph, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  

A reception in the plaza will precede the ceremony at 6 p.m..
