NORTH MIAMI TO PAY TRIBUTE TO OUR NATION’S HEROES AT VETERANS DAY CEREMONY

North Miami, FL – 11/6/2014

North Miami, FL – November 6, 2014 – Plan to honor the dedication and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes – the Veterans of the United States Armed Forces – at North Miami’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 10 a.m.   The ceremony will feature the participation of local Veterans organizations to present the colors, a 21-gun salute by the North Miami Police Department Rifle Team and entertainment by local students.  Take a moment following the event to enjoy the North Miami Veterans Memorial, which includes the prominent Veterans Tribute Tower, flags of all branches of the Armed Forces, and memorial plaques featuring the names of North Miami residents who served during wartime.  A reception inside Griffing Community Center will follow the ceremony.

When:              Monday, November 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. Ceremony concludes at 11:30 a.m.  
Where:            North Miami Veterans Memorial at Griffing Park, (West Dixie Highway at NE 123 ST)

Directions to Griffing Park in North Miami:
I-95 to NW 125 Street exit.  East to Griffing Boulevard / Memorial Highway.  Turn Right and Griffing Park is two blocks down on the west side of the street.  Parking is available on the street or in two adjacent parking lots.
