North Miami to Host Independence Day Celebration Tomorrow at 7 p.m.

North Miami, FL – July 3, 2012 – Salute our nation’s birthday at the annual NORTH MIAMI INDEPENDENCE DAY BY THE BAY CELEBRATION tomorrow, Wednesday, July 4, 2012. The event will be held on the grounds of the Kovens Center at Florida International University – Biscayne Bay Campus, 3000 NE 151 Street, in North Miami. The fun begins at 7 p.m. (until approximately 10 p.m.)

Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy an evening by the water with children’s games, face painting and art activities by the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). Enjoy musicby Penn House Productions and live entertainment by Kaidot and Cassie G. Food will be available for purchase from everyone’s favorite food truck vendors from the BTTR (Biscayne Triangle Truck Round-up), including Jefe’s Tacos, Arepa Box, Daddy’s Grill, the Rolling Stove, Divan Bakery, Catered Bliss, Mangia Mia, Che Grill and more. Giveaways include American flags for the first 500 attendees.

Of course, the celebration would not be complete without the spectacular fireworks finale at sundown over Biscayne Bay. Admission to the festivities (and parking) is FREE! No personal fireworks or alcoholic beverages will be allowed. Bug spray is also recommended.
