America turns 238 years old on July 4th and the perfect place to celebrate is at the annual NORTH MIAMI INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION BY THE BAY on the grounds of the Kovens Center at Florida International University – Biscayne Bay Campus, 3000 NE 151 Street.  Enjoy a fun-filled evening with the family on Friday, July 4, 2014. The fun begins at 7 p.m. with children’s activities, live entertainment by Karina Iglesias of NBC’s hit show The Voice, and a spectacular fireworks finale over the bay at sundown (approximately 9 p.m.)  

Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy a special evening with your family and friends celebrating our nation’s independence.  Admission to the festivities (and parking) is FREE!  Food will be available for purchase.  No personal fireworks or alcoholic beverages will be allowed.  Bug spray is also recommended.  The event will take place rain or shine.
