2012 Haitian Flag Celebration

Presented by the City of North Miami and the North Miami Adult Education Center, this event will feature the sights and sounds of Haitian culture, featuring an entertainment showcase by students from the North Miami Adult Education Center and live music by Kréyol-la.

We are featuring solo performances by band members. There will be a Clarinet Solo, a vocal solo by James Frazier, Music from A Chorus Line. The Armed Forces Salute to honor our troops, a drum solo by Harvey Saunders that will make your heart beat faster and even Blue Tango that will make you want to get up and dance.

Honor our nation’s heroes on this historical day of commemorating those that lost their lives in service dedicated to protecting our nation’s freedom. Ceremony features the presentation of colors by local Veterans organizations and the North Miami Senior High Army JROTC. Keynote address to be delivered by the US Southern Command.
