City of North Miami - Education
North Miami offers a number of educational and cultural opportunities to both residents and the Greater South Florida area. Two major four-year universities are located in the city: Florida International University which has one of the top-ranked hospitality management programs in the country, and Johnson and Wales University, a worldwide well-known culinary and food service management school. Within a 20-mile radius of the city are Barry University, St. Thomas University, the University of Miami, and Miami-Dade Community College.

North Miami Schools
North Miami is served by five elementary schools, three middle school and one senior high school are all part of the public school system which is administered by the Miami-Dade County School Board. North Miami Senior High hosts a highly successful International Baccalaureate Magnet Program.

North Miami Universities and Colleges
North Miami is home to two major universities: Florida International University (North Miami campus), and Johnson & Wales University. Barry University and St. Thomas University are also located nearby.

Complementing high quality education, the North Miami Campus of Florida International University offers a state-of-the-art Conference Center (Roz and Cal Kovens Conference Center) especially designed to accommodate conferences and educational events. It includes 11 meeting spaces, including tiered lecture halls, seminar rooms, a computer training lab, teleconferencing facilities, and a bay-front dining room for up to 500 guests.

The North Miami Campus of the Johnson & Wales University offers a superb setting for one of the most distinguished Culinary Arts education programs in the world. The University offers state-of-the-art laboratory kitchen facilities, academic classrooms, a library, and housing to over 400 students from all over the world. In addition, the city is in close proximity to the North Campus of Miami-Dade Community College, which offers a variety of technical and professional undergraduate programs.
