North Miami Public Library - Special Programs

The North Miami Public Library offers bedtime stories, puppet shows and children’s movies for toddlers and early elementary children, every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Special programs are offered on selected Saturdays.
Watch the library’s story times and puppet shows on Cable Channel 33 in North Miami, Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 p.m.

Library Stories With Puppets airs on Cable Channel 33 every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 pm.


The Library offers a Books-By-Mail service for homebound residents of North Miami. Regular print books, magazines and large print books are available through this program which delivers the books directly to your home via the U.S. Postal Service.


AmeriCorps volunteers assist with preparation for 3rd grade FCAT tests and reading assistance, K-5. Help is available Mondays through Tursdays, from 4 to 6 PM. Call the Library at 305.891.5535 for details.

NANAY, the National Alliance for Nurturing the Aged and Youth, has volunteers who assist teens with preparation for the 10th grade FCAT. Help is available Fridays from 3 to 4:45 PM. Call the Library at 305.891.5535 for details.
