Where is the Library?
The North Miami Public Library is located at 835 N.E. 132 Street across
from the Armory and Gribble Pool.

Monday - Thursday
9:30 am - 9:00 pm
Friday and Saturday
9:30 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
You must come in person to fill out an application and provide proof
of your current resident address, or business or property ownership.
Children under 14 need a parent or guardian to register them.
Examples of acceptable verification of current address may be a Florida
driver's license, a lease or tax bill, a current utility bill, student
report card or occupational license.
There is no charge for a Library Card for North Miami residents or
for people who own business or property in North Miami. Residents
of Hialeah, North Miami Beach and the Miami-Dade Public Library System
Special Taxing District enjoy Reciprocal
borrowing priviliges. All others will be charged a nonresident
fee of $50.00 annually. A three (3) month card is available for $15.00.
The Library has public access computers available on a first-come,
first-serve basis. Photo identification and a signed computer user
agreement form are required on the first visit. Children under 18
years old must have a parent sign the computer user agreement form
on the first visit.
Volunteers are a valuable resource for the North Miami Public Library.
Opportunities to volunteer are available with both the North Miami
Public Library and with the Friends
of the Library. High School students who need to perform community
service will find the Library a great place to complete their volunteer
requirements and learn at the same time. Anyone who wishes to help
must complete a Library Volunteer Service Application Form which is
available at the North Miami Public Library.
The Library has a meeting room, which is available for rental, on
a limited basis, during regular Library hours. Programs must be open
to the public, free, not for profit or sales, and complementary to
the Library's educational, cultural and informational objectives.
The room is nonsmoking and available three times per year maximum
to one group.
