NORTH MIAMI RELIEF EFFORTS FOR HAITI'S EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
The city of North Miami is partnering with Miami-Dade County and the National Haitian-American Elected Officials Network (NHAEON) and other government and non-profit agencies on relief efforts for Haiti in the aftermath of the January 12th earthquake.

Resolution in Support of Haiti Approved at the United Sates Conference of Mayors
The Honorable Mayor Andre D. Pierre of North Miami, in collaboration with the Honorable David N. Cicilline, Mayor of Providence (RI), and the Honorable C. Ray Nagin, Mayor of New Orleans (LA), introduced and led the passing of a Resolution in support of Haiti at The United States Conference of Mayors Winter Meeting.
The United State Conference of Mayors pledges to continue to help America's mayors and their cities respond to Haiti's emergency needs and the rebuilding of the country as a result of the devastating earthquake that occurred on January 12, 2010. It was also resolved that the U.S. Conference of Mayors, as an organized entity, will call on the U.S. government to continue to lead the world's response in meeting the immediate and long term needs of the Haitian people.
