INDEPENDENCE DAY BY THE BAY FESTIVITIES PROMISE FAMILY FUN 6/29/2009 Celebrate Independence Day on the Bay in North Miami on Saturday, July 4th. The event will take place on the grounds of Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus, 3000 NE 151 Street. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and the event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks finale over Biscayne Bay at approximately 9:00 p.m. Admission to the event is free and there is no charge for parking. This year’s event promises fun for the entire family. Attendees will enjoy live patriotic tunes by the North Miami Community Concert Band and games for children throughout the evening. Food will be available for purchase on site. If you plan on attending, bring a blanket, chairs and bug spray. No coolers or fireworks will be allowed on the grounds. The event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extremely inclement weather, call the North Miami Information Line at 305.891.4636 for information on the day of the event (as our offices will be closed.)
