Mr Russell Benford was selected by the North Miami City Council to be North Miami’s City Manager and he began his tenure with us on January 14, 2010.  Mr. Benford comes to North Miami from the City of West Park, Florida, in Broward County, where he served as City Administrator since June 2005.  He was the first City Administrator appointed by West Park’s City Commission since the City incorporated.

Prior to his service at West Park, Mr. Benford served as Village Administrator in the Village of Hawthorn Woods in suburban Chicago, as well as several positions in the City of Plano, Texas.
