NORTH MIAMI ELECTION RESULTS
North Miami’s 2009 Municipal Elections concluded with the Run-Off Election held Tuesday, June 2, 2009. The unofficial results are as follows:
- Mayor Andre D. Pierre
- Council District 2 Michael R. Blynn
- Council District 3 Jean Rodrigue Marcellus
For detailed election results from the June 2nd Run-Off, click here. The results are listed as unofficial until they are certified by the Miami-Dade County Elections Department and the City of North Miami on Thursday, June 4th at 4 p.m. (at the Miami-Dade County Elections Department.)
The City Clerk position was filled during the general election held on Tuesday, May 12th, 2009.

Mr. Desulme was administered the Oath of Office for City Clerk at the Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 26th.
The new City Council representatives will take the oath of office at the next Regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 7 p.m. The meeting is held at North Miami City Hall, 776 NE 125 Street, inside the Council Chambers located on the 2nd floor.
General Election Information
By City Charter, all candidates in North Miami municipal elections must win by a 50% plus 1 margin. The Mayor position is elected to a two-year term. Each individual can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. That individual can be re-elected again after taking a term off.
The City Council is elected by district to four-year terms. There are no term limits for City Council seats.
The City Clerk is elected to four-year terms. There are no term limits for the City Clerk position.
